Custom Nerf Gun Mods

So I’ve been getting into Nerf Gun modification lately, but more thoroughly than the quick once-over paint jobs that I’ve done for film props up until now.

It’s early days and I’m new to the actual modification part of the equation, but here’s a couple of pics of the first attempts.

I’m working on some more now and I’ll be sure to post some more detailed breakdowns of the progress.

If anyone’s interested in a custom paint-job for a nerf (or equivalent brand dart) gun, let me know – I would love more projects to get into!

So I won an Award…

If you’ve got couple of minutes, I’d love you to check out my short film Sincerely, Soldier Bear.

It’s a short film made for a film challenge to commemorate the WW1 centenary; the For The Fallen Film Challenge.

We were nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Film, came 3rd in the Peoples’ Choice Award, and won the Award Category for Best Post-Production.

You can read up about the film, the challenge and see a few production photos by visiting the film’s own page on the Hat Day Website: http://www.hatdayfilms.com/soldierbear

Matte Paintings and Set Extensions

Growing more and more interested in matte paintings and set extensions lately. It’s a fantastic way to remove the limitations of locations and settings for film shoots.

Would love to have more projects to work on, but here’s some examples of what I’ve been up to so far.
